As the new year quickly approaches, adidas gears up to celebrate the anniversary of one of its most iconic silhouettes – the Superstar. Still a closet staple moving into 2015, adidas Consortium only saw fit to update the silhouette with the finest materials available – such that perhaps the Superstar might live another 45 years. Turning to France’s Ateliers Heschung – the family factory that originally produced Superstars in the 1970’s – to create a limited run of pieces, this version has been stitched using traditional hand-held techniques and executed with plush white, black, and ivory leather throughout. An old-school stamp of construction at the tongue, unbranded heel tab, and leather lining complete this offering, dropping for $220 USD on December 12 at Consortium retailers worldwide.
