Red Bull Sound Select are continuing to unite artists from different parts of the musical world with their latest release. For a new track entitled ”That Did It,” Red Bull Sound Select brings together Chicago’s Tink and Brooklyn duo Sleigh Bells for something that breaks genre boundaries and mixes separate sounds. “That Did It” comes after the release of RBSS’ past offering featuring Lucki Eck$ and Danny Brown, which saw release in August. Describing the process, RBSS states:

Sleigh Bells met Chicago rapper/singer Tink when the two played a Red Bull Sound Select show in Austin during SXSW 2014. While they were already familiar with Tink’s music, Derek and Alexis were blown away by Tink’s energy and confidence on stage – even inviting her up to sing during the closing moments of the Sleigh Bells set that night. When the band was next in the studio in NYC, they invited Tink to contribute a verse to a new track that Derek was producing. Things went well in the studio, and the collaboration deepened as Alexis and Tink worked out additional melodies and vocal parts – within a day, “That Did It” was complete.
