In his second creative venture into furniture design, his first being in 2007, Rick Owens will display several of his newer pieces at the Salon: Art + Design fair in New York. His edgy aesthetic is evident in these pieces too, blending unassuming materials such as plywood with luxurious textiles like crocodile leather, mink, alabaster and moose antlers. His works will be displayed alongside 50 other exhibitors from around the world, showing everything from decadent pieces designed for Marie-Antoinette to, of course, the more contemporary avant-garde designs as represented by the likes of Rick Owens. Held from November 14-17, the Salon: Art + Design fair will be held at New York’s Park Avenue Armory. For more information on the event, click here.
