Lorde Covers Jeremih's "Don't Tell Em" and Performs Kanye's Version of "Yellow Flicker Beat"

During her recent stop by BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, Lorde chose to perform a live cover of Jeremih‘s recent hit, “Don’t Tell Em,” and Kanye West‘s version of “Yellow Flicker Beat” for her live showcase. Explaining why she chose to cover “Don’t Tell Em,” Lorde said she’s been a “really big fan of the song” since she first started hearing it and that she “loved the vocal melodies” and thought they were “smart” and “cool.” She called the song “saucy,” and thought it’d be interesting to “flip the dynamic” and make the song’s “power” her own.
