Built in an unassuming repurposed industrial area along the waterfront in Hedeslav, Denmark, the Street Dome Skatepark is a unique fusion of architecture, design and function that is rarely executed to such a degree of symbiosis. Designed by bowl rider Rune Glifberg, the Street Dome is formed of a skate park which blends seamlessly into the side of the dome structure, inside of which houses additional skate pools, as well as a basketball court and a rock climbing wall. The outside of the dome features greenery which blooms in the springtime to add a blush of color to the otherwise plain concrete landscape. Oakley was given an opportunity to be one of the first to skate the Street Dome, and the video above documents their time with the likes of Sean Malto, Sam Beckett, Arto Saari and Rune Glifberg himself.
