Outside of producing music and singing-songwriting, James Blake is quite the master of satire. In preparation of his upcoming tour, the Englishman appeared on BBC Radio 1‘s The Residency again and executed both a fake weather forecast that warned of “acid-house gales” at “rave-o’clock” and a commercial on a fake event called “Rave-ageddon” that entailed on “365 days of Rave.” Outside of the spoofs, Blake played some classics from Prince, D’Angelo, Arca, Arthur Russell, and Kate Bush, as well as several new tracks, including his single we gave you last month, Building It Still and Klaus’ new remix of his 2011 song, “Not Long For Now.” Listen to the show here.
