Encased in a 44mm titanium case and running a spanking new sound transmitter, the latest development from the Audemars Piguet camp comes in the form of the Royal Oak Concept Acoustic Reaearch. The main feature here is the evolution of the watch’s minute repeater — developed over eight years in conjunction with the Geneva Conservatory, EPFL, and APRP — which allows significantly enhanced sound transmission. A luxe, complicated tourbillon and column-wheel chronograph complete this concept piece from Audemars Piguet, expected to officially debut at SIHH in January.
