Pink Floyd will be releasing their first album in 20 years next month, and have unveiled our first taste of their upcoming LP. Though The Endless River is set to be a mostly instrumental affair, today’s offering stands as the project’s only vocal-heavy effort. “Louder Than Words” features lyrics written by David Gilmour’s wife, Polly Samson, and serves as a sort of musical eulogy for deceased bandmate Richard Wright. While speaking about the song with The Guardian, Gilmour also stated he feels “certain” there will not be another Pink Floyd album after this, so “Louder Than Words” may very well serve as the last vocal track from the legendary prog-rock act. You can listen to “Louder Than Words” above. The Endless River is set to hit retailers on November 10.
