Maison Martin Margiela Announce John Galliano as Its New Creative Director

After several years on the sidelines of high fashion, John Galliano has been announced as Maison Martin Margiela’s new Creative Director later today. Galliano’s most recent experiences dated back to 2011 at Christian Dior where unfortunate circumstances saw Galliano go on an anti-Semitic tirade due in part to drugs and exhaustion. However Galliano’s return to fashion is a welcome one. As one of the industry’s brightest talents, his return to an esteemed platform like Margiela is inclusive of a wide range of abilities ranging from women’s couture to more commercial offerings in both mens and womenswear. Upon his announcement, Kanye West also tweeted his own excitement.
