KITH founder Ronnie Fieg has decided to expand its SoHo store after taking an extra 3,000 square feet of space within the Atrium store on the corner of Broadway and Bleecker Street. Although some may think that KITH is trying to swallow up the existing store, Atrium owner Sam Ben-Avraham insists that “Atrium and KITH are not competitors,” and that having the stores side by side will in fact complete the men’s shopping experience. Ben-Avraham adds that, “KITH focuses on street and athletic footwear, whereas Atrium is taking the direction of modern menswear,” meaning the two stores will be for different customers. Keep a lookout for brands like Y-3, Nike Sportswear and OFF-WHITE to sit alongside the in-house line in the new space.
