A recent report from Billboard has confirmed that pop superstar Katy Perry will be the halftime performer for the Super Bowl XLIX. Perry evaded questions concerning her speculated performance last week on ESPN, saying she’s “not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl.” This, of course, is in reference to earlier rumors that the NFL had insisted any halftime performer contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour earnings back to the organization. The NFL has chosen not to comment on the rumors factuality.
