Newly opened in London’s Loughran Gallery, “Albion” is the debut release of Dave White‘s new collection of artworks. Featuring canvases depicting various species indigenous to the British Isles created in White’s intensely dynamic oil painting style, the audience is made aware of the spontaneity of nature through the expressive quality of his rich oil impasto and watercolor techniques. Thus reflected in his oversized works is the beauty and fullness of the animals depicted, while at the same time highlighting their fragility in a habitat which is continually encroached upon by urban development. “Albion” continues until October 25 at the Loughran Gallery in West Brompton, London.
