Arnette Musicians: The Bots Say Britney Spears is OK

The third and final installment of the Arnette Musicians series brings us two-piece punk rock band The Bots from Glendale, California. Teenage brothers Mikaiah and Anaiah Lei make up the band, with Mikaiah in charge of vocals and guitar while Anaiah holds it down on the drums. Having recorded their first album at the ages of 12 and 15 respectively, The Bots have since continually refined their raw sound and garage rock image, with the brothers’ unassuming physical statures belying the intense energy they channel into their music and live sets. Proudly professing to a wide range of musical tastes, including arguing the merits of Britney Spears and Madonna’s pop sounds, The Bots are very much attuned to the cool factor of rock bands. An integral part of any look are the shades that sit on the face of many a rock star, although they themselves avoid wearing eyewear on the stage for fear of accidentally stepping on them.
