A$AP Ferg‘s album is near completion, according to a recently released interview conducted by XXL. Speaking to XXL at the launch event of his collaborative collection with Young & Reckless, Ferg stated that the follow-up to 2013’s Trap Lord is “almost done” and that he’s “just tweaking it right now.” Ferg remarked that there were just a “couple more producers” he wanted to work with for the project, though his answer to a question about rumored collaborations with Diplo and Skrillex was a neutral “maybe.” As for what’s happening now regarding his sophomore effort, the A$AP affiliate said he was going to keep on perfecting the LP and “squeezing more magic out of it” until the label shuts him down. He did seem pretty confident about the album’s quality, though. Ferg said the following regarding his opinion of the project:
“I can definitely tell you it’s going to be crazy and it’s the new Ferg; it’s not A$AP Ferg, it’s not Trap Lord, it’s Ferg and I’m giving my all and I’m going in. I’m going in deep, like I’m telling true stories and it’s gonna be crazy.”
Considering all the rumblings coming out of the A$AP camp as of late, such as Rocky’s “Multiply,” it looks like we’ll be seeing the A$AP prefix in headlines for a while to come. It shouldn’t be too long now before we hear a new Ferg cut, either.
