Legendary singer/songwriter Prince is looking to take legal action against 22 fans based on claims that they’ve been uploading copyrighted concert performances and allowing free widespread distribution of recordings. Prince is looking for roughly $1 million from each, in his recently filed lawsuit, and the fans all belong apart of communities dedicated to multi-talented musician and appear to be die-hard fans. The claims accuses the fans of “massive infringement and bootlegging of Prince’s material”, with each web page contributing to “up to thousands of separate acts of infringement and bootlegging.” It looks like things are taking a turn for the worst for these fans, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date as more information is shared.
