HYPETRAK TV recently sat down with a face that you may not be familiar with, but who’s name and website have become a house-hold name in the past few years. Lee “Q” O’Denat, the founder of Worldstarhiphop, spoke candidly about his rise to prominence and why he feels like he’s #12 every year, even though WSHH has been voted the “top hip hop and urban culture website” by BET four years in a row. From fast-food to adult websites, Q recounted his employment history and first forays onto the internet that eventually led to the inception of WSHH. Q even gave us the low on online dating that had him flying to Alaska on dates. Q foresees venturing into more original programming with his “Worldstar Originals” and “Worldstar Boxing” imprints. With an official WSHH mobile app that’s just dropped and redesign of the website coming soon, Q doesn’t show any signs of slowing down the media onslaught he started in 2005.
