Returning to the air in a few short months is perhaps the most critically-acclaimed show currently on television – HBO‘s Game of Thrones. Thus, to whet fans’ appetites ahead of the forthcoming premiere, HBO presented the first official trailer for the upcoming season prior to last night’s series debut of True Detective. Clocking in at just under two minutes in length, the preview offers a glimpse of what can be expected of Tyrion, Daenerys, and the rest of the ensemble cast in the season ahead. Game of Thrones returns on Sunday, April 6 at 9 p.m. EST.
