Cubitts Ampton Glasses
Frustrated with the complexity and cost of buying modern prescription glasses, Cubitts sought out

Frustrated with the complexity and cost of buying modern prescription glasses, Cubitts sought out to deliver quality spectacles to your front door for around a third of what you’d pay at an up-market optician. The UK-based brand is able to do this by shifting its focus from gimmicky advertising to streamlining their in-house design and manufacturing segments.
Cubitts latest optical release comes to the market as the Ampton. Named after Ampton Street in King’s Cross, London, these wide, square frames with rounded edges are crafted from a single piece of Italian acetate and hand-polished to gain an enduring finish. Its lenses are made from light, durable CR39 plastic, and offer anti-glare and anti-scratch coatings. Cut to your exact prescription, the Ampton is available here in black, dark turtle, light turtle and amber for £100 GBP (approximately $165 USD).
