theFINproject - The Art and Story of the Surfboard Fin

theFINproject is a unique project that aims to highlight an extremely important but oft overlooked part of surfboards: the fin. As much an art project as it is an educational one, the project starts off with a topological study in which each type of fin has been photographed in isolation to let viewers compare and contrast the many varieties of fin out there. The second part of the project consists of graphic representations of multiple fins in order to highlight the geometric and aesthetic properties of fins in general.
