Bringing the equivalent of a 750in screen at 65ft away to your face, Sony announces the creation of its third generation head-mounted display dubbed the HMZ-T3W. With 360-degree 7.1 virtual surround sound, the light and comfortable headset is built with two OLED panels to deliver a 3D picture at 24 frames per second in true cinema playback. Its wireless connectivity is made possible with a separate battery pack that offers three hours of wireless play or seven hours of HDMI-connected content. But it’s not just for video as the HMZ-T3W is also built for gaming with near zero latency. To take another step into the future of home entertainment this November, Sony’s latest head-mounted display will cost about £1,300 GBP (approximately $2,022 USD).
