Although completing a successful performance at the Made in America Festival a few weeks ago it seems Queens of the Stone Age claim a bit of conflict with founder Jay Z. During a discussion with CBC Radio2’s “Strombo Show,” the band’s frontman, Josh Homme, shot a few negative words towards the rapper, making comments on their treatment with security.
That guy’s a kook, you know. He has his security frisking the bands on the way in. No one’s ever done that.
Following, he also says Jay Z gave the band a bottle of his own branded champagne, Ace of Spades, and asked them to take a photo with it.
I was like, ‘That’s not a gift– that’s a marketing tool.’ I destroyed it, ’cause I thought it was rude overall.
Homme then ends the conversation
“People never say anything bad about Jay Z, do they?”
Well that statement is clearly irrelevant now. You can stream the full audio to hear his comments in action (1.56.00-2.16.00). Have a listen and let us know what you think down below.
