In support of their 2011 sophomore project Strange Pleasures, Still Corners’ Tessa Murray and Greg Hughes unveil the visual translation for the album’s fifth track, “Fireflies.” Since Strange Pleasures has been heavily influenced by film soundtracks from the 1980s such as The Breakfast Club and the 1986 Michael Mann thriller Manhunter. Accordingly, “Fireflies” has been inspired by Top Gun. The colorful clip resulted from the duo’s trip Oregon’s Painted Hills where they worked with director Christian Sorensen Hansen.
