For much of the 20th century, crayfish harvesting in Sweden was legally limited to late summer and was thus a time marked by parties where “Swedes get together and eat Crayfish, sing funny songs, and drink” – a kräftskiva tradition carried on to this day. Thus, as August nears its close, Stockholm’s Sneakersnstuff is set to introduce a “Crayfish Party” take on Reebok‘s classic Court Victory Pump. Meant to resemble the look of a boiled crayfish – typically done in dill and salt – the kicks feature a bold orange leather upper with a contrasting white midsole marked by orange speckles throughout. Further adding to the “party” vibe is a set of multicolored laces and a sunny smiley face on the shoe’s signature Pump – a design resembling the specific lamps that decorate a typical kräftskiva. Sneakersnstuff’s “Crayfish Party” take on the Reebok Court Victory Pump is set to be available both in-store and online come August 29.
