The latest project from Japanaese skateboarder and photographer Rip Zinger discusses the diversity of skate cultures existing around the globe. Surveying the cities of Tokyo, San Francisco, New York and more to reflect on how the skater mentality applies itself to life for various individuals, Zinger coined the name “Skatality.” Focusing on the translation of the skateboarding lifestyle into art, music, fashion and culture, a total of six episodes have been scheduled by VICE Japan’s YouTube channel, with the first two installments featuring appearances from skateboarder-turned-designer Yoshifumi Egawa and American skate originator Tommy Guerrero.
