Yohji Yamamoto-founded Y’s and Akihiro Woodworks come together to produce the JINCUP, a wooden coffee mug. The drinking surface is sanded down to a smooth finish while the octagonal body is crafted out of tabunoki, a type of evergreen tree native to Kagoshima prefecture, allows for a comfortable slip-free grip. The mug doesn’t come cheap with a price of ¥31,500 JPY (approximately $327 USD) and is currently available for purchase in red or black colors through all Y’s retail locations in Japan.
