Hoodie Allen - No Interruption (Acoustic)

New York’s own Hoodie Allen announced his 30-city fall nationwide tour this week, which will feature support from fellow independent artists D-WHY, Mod Sun and OCD: Moosh & Twist—tickets are available here. Allen has incurred a lot of success as over the past couple of years, including sold-out shows around the world and shocking the music industry last year by selling 28,000 copies of his All American EP in its first week on the market, putting it in the top 10 on the prestigious Billboard 200 chart. He’s already done things that most artists aren’t able to without the support of a label, but it seems he feels as though he has more to accomplish. On Twitter the other day, he stated “I just wanna do things other rappers can’t.” To demonstrate that, on August 13 he will be putting out Americoustic – an EP consisting of acoustic versions of some of his most popular songs, including his biggest hit, “No Interruption,” which he has just released an in-studio visual for. The original video has racked up over 10 million views to date on YouTube and this version is already at 170,000. Whether you’re a fan or not, it doesn’t look like Allen is going anywhere anytime soon.
