With experience as a professional skateboarder as well as stints running cult streetwear label, HECTIC, and fixed gear shop, Carnival, Japanese designer, Yoshifumi “YOPPI” Egawa, packs some serious street cred. His latest project, Hombre Nino, is a brand tailor-made for stylish family men — products are offered in both adult and kids sizes and are inspired by both “retro” and “new,” and authentic and contemporary designs. This grown-up, considered outlook is found throughout Hombre Nino’s fall collection, from its subdued, autumnal shades to classic wardrobe items like parkas, varsities, sweats and knits. Relaxed, athletic silhouettes and accessories, meanwhile, remind wearers of Egawa’s streetwise background and skateboarding roots.
