Danner recently opened a new lifestyle concept store at Portland’s Union Way, a new 10,500-square-foot retail development project. As the second of the brand’s retail outlets and its first lifestyle shop, the store hopes to bring a piece of the great outdoors to the new alleyway according to Danner’s Creative Director, Haven Anderson: “We used the brand’s long-standing commitment to crafting product that stands up to the rugged outdoors as an inspiration for our flagship store. Our design concept was to bring the outdoors in, creating an experience where shoppers would fall in love with the lifestyle of outdoor adventure in the Pacific Northwest.” To this end, the space is appropriately outfitted with a 10-foot living wall composed of plants native to Oregon, a hand-painted mural of the state’s scenery, and even the dressing room – a nod to the wooden teardrop trailer. Danner Union Way carries a selection of accessories and apparel from premium brands such as Fairends, Topo Designs, and Taylor Stitch as well as a store-exclusive Vertigo 1022X boot to commemorate the outlet’s opening in early August.
