For our latest THROUGH THE LENS feature we caught up with Rocky Xu, footwear enthusiast and ardent photographer who shared with us some compelling photographs from his extensive travels. Working primarily as a footwear specialist has its perks, one being the benefits of globetrotting to various corners of the world for work related appointments, and in Rocky’s case, allowing him to further discover awe-inspiring landscapes for his serendipitous endeavors in photography. Shot at landscape via an iPhone 5, Rocky presents a slew of 13 images — taking us through a variety of striking locations. Here, we visit the home of the Washington Nationals alongside the bold European architecture of Versailles, before delving in and out of the skyscrapers of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, ending at the desolate beaches of Boracay. With the propensity to shoot given the chance, here’s a snapshot of Rocky’s favorite destinations.
