We previously highlighted the Packer Shoes and Reebok collaboration on the Kamikaze II “Remember the Alamo” silhouette — an alluring iteration inspired by 1996 NBA All-Star Game and the vibrant colorways found on its jersey. Here, we explore the rest of the “Remember the Alamo” capsule pack in greater detail. In remembrance of Shawn Kemp‘s dexterity on court in the clash of the titans on February 11, 1996 at the Alamodome, San Antonio, the collaborative capsule includes a Packer Shoes x Mitchell & Ness authentic Shawn Kemp “1996 NBA All-Star Game” Hardwood Classics Basketball jersey, a Packer Shoes x Mitchell & Ness Shawn Kemp 1997 ASG Caricature T-Shirt, and a Packer Shoes x Mitchell & Ness “1996 NBA All-Star” Snapback along with the celebrated sneaker. Coinciding with Kemp’s jersey number, 40 individually numbered packs are housed in a foldable storage case and was released 17 years, 5 months and 18 days (17+5+18 = 40) after the 1996 NBA finals. As expected, the “Remember the Alamo” capsule was promptly sold out, but meanwhile cast your eyes via the images above and keep your eye out for the Kamikaze II “Remember the Alamo”.
