In addition to unveiling the Nike Free Hyperfeel and Nike Free Flyknit, Nike also revealed its new Aeroloft apparel technology. Debuting for runners, the Aeroloft technology is designed to address the issue of warmth – namely, how to keep runners warm without overheating when the mercury drops. Nike’s Aeroloft technology, first appearing in the Aeroloft 800 vest, addresses the issue with movement-activated ventilation aided by laser-cut, strategically placed perforations. Additionally, Nike’s engineers analyzed the side of the baffles, the placement, and the amount of fill used to ensure that the technology works when it’s needed most. The technology is set to roll out across a range of sports categories in the near future. Be sure to check out the video to see it in action.
