Netherfriends - Uptown Boys

Sounding like Foster the People‘s “Pumped Up Kicks” meeting Modest Mouse‘s “Float On,” Netherfriends manages to pull off one of the crazier stoner anthems you’ve ever heard with his new single “Uptown Boys.” The singer/producer brings a raw yet refined energy to the track both vocally and production- wise. This is the first single from the Chicago-based artist’s debut album P3ACE (pronounced “three peace”) due out later this year. Over the past few years, Netherfriends traveled across the U.S., making a song in every state. The compilation of those songs became a project titled 50 Songs 50 States (it actually has 51 songs total because it includes one done in District of Columbia).
