Chitose Abe is known for her deft combinations of fabrics and silhouettes, a skill well-translated into the men’s and women’s collections she designs for sacai. And, while Abe is famously wary of the spotlight, her clothes have been making waves amongst the fashion set for their fabrics, colors, textures and distinctly Japanese approach to menswear. honeyee recently shot “Man in sacai,” an editorial showcasing the brand’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection of tweedy English fabrics, neutral and bright shades, and luxurious touches like silk and lamb’s fur.
