In celebration of 15 years skating for the adidas pro team, adidas Skateboarding has created a special capsule collection of apparel and footwear with Mark Gonzales. The collection was inspired by Gonz and his unique creative output and features several of the skater’s illustrations. Built around the staples of Gonzales’s wardrobe, the apparel collection includes tops and bottoms, many of which bear a special patch created by Gonz. For the footwear offerings, Gonzales was inspired by the adidas Azteca track spikes from the Mexico City Olympics. To that end, the shoes feature bold and colorful prints and also incorporate details like gussets for easy on and off and a low profile outsole for improved board feel. The Mark Gonzales x adidas Skateboarding collection will be available soon at select adidas accounts.
