Toronto’s Cooper Cole presents the latest solo exhibition from American artist Jen Stark. Entitled “Vortextural,” the exhibit showcases the Miami native’s signature paper-cut sculptures – designs whose cyclical, colorful look references pop-art while highlighting Stark’s inspirations from mathematics, organisms and space. Color gradations, optical illusions and repetition of shapes are key to the works and the psychedelic atmosphere suggested by their collective aesthetic. Jen Stark’s “Vortextural” opened July 5 and will remain on display through August 10.
