Adding to a busy offseason in which he was recently traded to the young Mark Jackson-led Golden State Warriors, Gold Medalist and perennial All-Star forward Andre Iguodala has partnered with lifestyle blogger Marcus Troy to create a special bespoke pair of Nike Air Force 1s valued at $850 USD. These one-of-a-kind pair of steps come in a vibrant red, black and grey upper that features a scaly, reptile-like exterior with a leather lining, AI’s Nike motif at its heel, and a white midsole. Their inspiration came from the iconic Air Jordan 1 as it represents values they both abide by, including audacity, power, and the act of risking it all to stand for something we believe in. Limited to just nine pairs, each sneaker will further feature an individually numbered lace lock as well as a set of Nike-crafted cedarwood shoe trees. To commemorate the launch of MindOfAI9.com – an online hub where Andre will share his thoughts, likes and insights – the two will be giving away all nine pairs as well as a hand-drawn replica of the above shoe by Nike Bespoke designer Mau.
