MAN recently unveiled its Spring/Summer 2014 collection, a significant departure from many trends of menswear as of late. Clearly reclaiming a sense of childhood in the grown man, the collection exudes a childlike playfulness with its oversized fits that feature richly printed wicker and woven patterns. Bears, fleur-de-lys, birds, and crowns appear heavily across the collection which retains its maturity through shades of grey and black, as well as ruggedly textured knitwear. Veering more into the territory of the conceptual and artistic, the collection first disarms its audience with its presentation of the aforementioned neutral tones and conservative deviations in terms of color before completely changing course with a harsh tie-dye explosion of rich blues, yellows and pink.
