The New York Post has reported that legendary producer Rick Rubin, whose extensive discography probably includes some of your favorite albums, signed on last week as an executive producer for Kanye West‘s highly anticipated album Yeezus. After months of recording in Paris, Yeezy continues to work in the studio, striving for an unparalleled degree of excellence. Rubin has stepped in to help finish that process.
In related news, inTouch reports that Mr. West filmed a video inspired by the 2000 movie American Psycho, co-starring Scott Disick (Kourtney Kardashian’s boyfriend) and Jonathan Cheban (family friend), to promote his upcoming album. The video is set to arrive before the release of West’s sixth studio album, which is due out June 18. No pre-orders available.

Because it mean that ‘I think would sell more if it get more audience and (expletive).’ But honestly at this point when I listen to radio, that ain’t where I want to be no more. Honestly at this point, I could give a (expletive) about selling a million records as long as I put out an album for the summer that y’all can rock to for all (expletive) summer… At this point I don’t really give a (expletive) about outside opinion.”
