UPDATE: 2 Chainz Robbed at Gunpoint in San Francisco

Drama unfolded before 2 Chainz‘s performance at the 106 KMEL Summer Jam at Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA last night. The ATL rapper has been robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco during broad daylight. According to TMZ, the police stated 2 Chainz and his entourage fled the scene when the incident happened. The officials further revealed that they responded to a “shots fired” call around 4.30 p.m., and claimed that 2 Chainz wasn’t too cooperative with the investigations and wanted to handle the situation himself.

UPDATE: The San Francisco police recently spoke with Radio.com, and it has now been confirmed that 2 Chainz was the victim of a robbery.

According to [police spokesman Dennis] Toomer, the rapper was walking with his entourage in the 800 block of Howard Street at about 4:30 p.m. when they were approached by a suspect carrying a handgun, who fired a gunshot. While most of the group scattered, 2 Chainz reportedly fell to the ground and was approached by the suspect, “who robbed him and fled the scene.”

Toomer said the rapper was robbed of his wallet, which contained credit cards and cash money, as well as a cell phone.

Police also confirmed that those involved “are being very uncooperative,” and that the suspect has been neither located nor identified.

2 Chainz has since taken to his Twitter and addressed the situation himself, going on to share:
