Converse proudly marks its first ever collaboration with LA graffiti artist Chaz Bojorquez and the Division Creative Foundry. Reflecting furtive nature of Bojorquez’s work, the shoes feature an understated black canvas upper with a suede heel panel with even the Converse logo taking a back seat to the artist’s signature skull tag, “Señor Suerte,” appearing on the tongue. Other hidden details are the interior lined with his hallmark script and a black and white image of Borjorquez working under the cover of darkness appearing on the insole.
Finishing touches on the outside include hex nut-shaped eyelets, vintage weave laces, and a screen-print of his signature in white. The Converse x Chaz Chuck Taylor All Star will hit Converse San Francisco store, Footpatrol in London, and Juice in Hong Kong and Shanghai on June 28 at a suggested retail price of $100. As an added bonus, the artist will celebrate his shoe’s launch in person at Converse San Francisco when it drops.
