It’s almost imperative that apparel brand Stussy develops certain pieces of its summer offerings that are appropriate for the beach. With the Japanese side of the brand already aligned with leather sandal maker Island Slipper in the past, the pioneering streetwear label has now partnered with the world-class utilitarian shoemaker Chaco to release the Chaco Z/1® Unaweep Sandal. A mainstay in Chaco’s sandal line, the Z/1 Unaweep offers a deep lug grip, contoured LUVSEAT™ footbed, as well as an open-toe design for a level of comfort and performance seldom found in a sport sandal. A single buckle and custom Adjust’em™ fit straps hold your feet securely in place no matter the condition. Further details include polyester straps with Stussy’s “Tom Tom” print, a Vibram sole unit, the double “S” motif, as well as a high traction and self-cleaning tread design. The collaborative Z/1® Unaweep Sandal from Stussy and Chaco is currently available in black at select Chapter stores with a price tag of ¥13,440 JPY (approximately $131 USD).
