It’s been a good year for Manchester City. From a relatively successful season in the Premier League following 2012’s league title – its first in 44 years – to a recently announced partnership with the New York Yankees, the Blues have seen a quick ascent to the peaks of international football. Of course, in order to play like true champs, the team needs to look the part. Cue a new relationship with Nike, as the sportswear giant has released their first-ever interpretations of the classic Manchester City sky blue uniforms. Composed of recycled polyester, the shirts are detailed with white ribbed collars and cuffs, as well as a dark blue trim referencing the socks of the inaugural 1882 team kit. Other features include Nike’s sweat-wicking Dri-FIT technology and special laser-cut ventilation zones. Look for the kit to arrive in time for the 2013-14 campaign.
