Kristjan ‘Tan’ Gillies, whose long list of talents include design, photography, brand management, fashion marketing and styling, gives us a look at some of his must-haves that accompany him in life and at work. He’s currently on board with Nike, where he’s been for the past two years, and is the community brand manager for 1948 in East London. Starting with the his burgundy Patta x Parra Air Max, they easily stand out as the most colorful choice in his lineup of otherwise simple black-toned accessories. For his work, he sports an iPhone-BlackBerry combo as well as two cameras – an Olympus MJU II and a Lumix GF1 – both of which have been at his side for a great many years. Other items that have stood the test of time include his well-worn MacBook and bursting hardrive, and his bottle of Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani which he’s been loyal to since he was 14. All in all, Tan keeps it simple and means business and understandably so. As someone who works with so many brands and their respective merchandise, it makes sense that the South West Londoner would prefer to not get inundated with them and stay true to a only few items that are close to him. If you want to check out more of the extensive work he’s done, check out his Tumblr here.
