Kiwi brand I Love Ugly updates the time-honored bucket hat for Spring/Summer 2013. Originating in Ireland, the bucket hat was traditionally worn by fishermen and farmers to protect them from the elements before making their way onto the crowns of the English aristocracy. As its function shifted more towards form, the bucket hat was remade more pliable as to fit into the inner pockets of jackets.

The I Love Ugly Bucket Hat collection features both nautical and elegant fabrics inspired by this tradition, and all under-peaks are lined with genuine pigskin suede. Available in no less than eight different styles, each is available on the brand’s website for roughly $70 USD each.
