“We’re not trying to sell anybody a philosophy or lifestyle; we just make nice stuff that people hopefully will want to wear,” says Robin De Flô of A Cut Above. It’s clothing that both he and partner An-Josefien Falelavaki would wear themselves, and a reflection of the ’90s era of skateboarding, hip-hop and punk that remains a large part of their lives. An evolution of the retailer-turned-label’s Classic Collection from last season, the Spring/Summer 2013 lookbook features new silhouettes in stark black and white — team and MA-1 jackets, graphic tees, hoodies, and baseball jerseys that slot in somewhere between streetwear and high-end fashion. The collection is rounded out by ACA’s signature headwear in the same color palette and is available for purchase now at the label’s website, and in the coming weeks from our online store.
