Opening Ceremony, the cult fashion brand started by friends Carol Lim and Humberto Leon and current Kenzo creative directors in 2002, has announced plans to move its current flagship store OPENING CEREMONY TOKYO from its current location in the Shibuya Movida building to a new location in the Omotesando area of the Shibuya ward in Tokyo. The move was decided because the brand had successfully found an appropriate open-street location as opposed to the department store or business building locations where the shop was in the past. With the big move starting on April 7, OPENING CEREMONY OMOTESANDO will join OPENING CEREMONY SHINJUKU (which opened just one year ago) when it opens on April 20.
