With his 2010 single “Mind Reader,” a collaboration with NYC songstress Shyvonne released on Fool’s Gold Records, Los Angeles-by-way-Brooklyn MC/producer Kingdom rose to public acclaim. With a history already rooted in the London underground, Kingdom has been setting the foundation for his blow up for quite some time now.
With all these dues paid, Kingdom is now set to release The Vertical XL EP, his first release on Fade to Mind – the imprint he heads up under Night Slugs. Set to release May 28, The Vertical XL sees Kingdom exploring new musical ventures, as evidenced by the first single off the record, “Bankhead,” featuring another City of Angels singer, Kelela. Described as “euphoric, club ready,” the single is one of those songs fit for an intimate lounge conversation or living room gathering with close friends.
