The iconic furniture designer Charles Eames once said “The details are not the details, they make the design” — an apt description, perhaps, for Folk‘s own approach to its collections. Since its launch a little over a decade ago, the British label has attracted a loyal following amongst both stylish Londoners and fans overseas for its brand of casual, contemporary clothing, the sort of designs seen here for Spring/Summer 2013. Neutral basics infused with an easy, relaxed vibe and quirky minutiae like drawcords and embroidered details, the garments transition seamlessly from office to street with a mix of both tailored and casual styles. More importantly, the label’s timeless aesthetic and understated quality ensure that the garments will look as good next spring as they do this season.
