Beyoncé – Bow Down / I Been On

Just as you thought Beyonce‘s swapped her once-upon-a-time rugged hip-hop demeanor for motherhood, the songstress delivers a hard-hitting anthem from out of the blue. Paying homage to her hometown of Houston, “Bow Down / I Been On” is a Southern hip-hop narrative with Bey’s effortless vocals getting chopped-and-screwed. Production credit goes to Hit-Boy for formulating another uncontrollable beat for the otherwise poignant songstress to flaunt her presumptuous side. Some may recognize “I Been On” from a tour advertisement for the UK part of the ‘Mrs. Carter World Tour,’ a track which was rumored to have also featured R&B duo Planet VI. Beyonce’s album is due before the end of the year; perhaps “Bow Down / I Been On” will make the cut, stay tuned for more on the release.
