To be expected, Yohji Yamamoto‘s vision for the Y-3 spring/summer collection is a deconstruction of traditional sport styles. The lookbook reflects this, shining a flashing highlight on the multifaceted designs throughout the new range. The lookbook highlights fragmented designs with bold contrast colors, draping silhouettes that accentuate particularly slim lines; the collection is a harmonious balance of opposites. Hints of floral prints also find their way into the design. Of course, Y-3’s sport heritage is subtly acknowledged in the three stripes that have been elegantly woven into this offering of T-shirts, windbreakers and blazers.
